Announcement:South County Senior Ministries and South Grand Senior Ministry Friendly Connections Program

Description: The purpose of Friendly Connections in South County and South Grand areas is to support the independent living of seniors, while preventing isolation and loneliness within the senior population. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to take some time to help with this. If you are able to take a couple of hours out of your week to make phone calls, write a letter, or even visit someone at their home, we would love to talk to you and find out your interests as well. Even if you can not leave your home, you could still be a blessing to someone else with just a phone call or letter.

Announcement: Free Yard Work June 14-24

Description: With the spring nearly over and summer upon us, some of you may need yard work in your homes. Are you 65 or older and need assistance with yard work? The South Grand Senior Ministry will be hosting groups of ChristPOWER volunteers during the weeks for June 14th and June 21st. These groups will be performing yard work, which may include, but is not limited to; raking leaves, gutter cleaning, and trimming. We ask that the homeowner supplies the necessary tools for the task requested (rakes, ladders, etc.).
