Event: Line Dancing

Date: Every 3rd and 4th Sunday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm through September at the gymBlessed Teresa of Calcutta (1050 Smith, 63135).

Description: Dancing is a great way to meet people and have fun while exercising! The Northeast Deanery Senior Ministry is sponsoring a dance class taught by Minnie Schleinat. The class will be held every 3rd and 4th Sunday from 2:00 - 3:00 pm through September at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta (1050 Smith, 63135). It will be held in the gym. This free class is for all ability levels.

Registration: To reserve your spot, contact Amy LeMieux at (314) 664-9700 a least a day before the class. There is no cost for the introductory classes.

Event: Summer Wii Bowling League

Date: Join us every Monday from July 12 through August 16 from 1:30- 3:00pm as the Northeast Deanery Senior Ministry begins its Summer Senior Wii Bowling League.

Description: This is a bowling league which travels from parish to parish to compete against the other local senior bowling teams. We will kick off the season at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta (1050 Smith). So please come have fun, socialize, and even get a little exercise while learning to bowl interactively.

Event: Vatican Splendors Exhibit at the Missouri History Museum

Date: Monday, July 12 at 12:30 p.m., and return at approximately 4:30 p.m

Description: Travel to Rome without even leaving Missouri! Take a trip with the South County Senior Ministry to the Missouri History Museum to explore “Vatican Splendors: A Journey through Faith and Art”, and then to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. The self-guided Vatican exhibit is comprised of nearly 200 rare art pieces, with some pieces never before displayed to the public. Afterward, we will journey to the Cathedral Basilica for a relaxed guided tour of the grand Cathedral.

Registration: It is $22 per person and to attend. RSVP no later than Friday, July 16 by calling Amy LeMieux at (314) 664-9700. Leave your passports at home and book your trip with us soon, as seats are limited.

Event: BINGO Mixer

Date: Friday, August 6, 4pm- 7pm

Description: Looking for something to do this August? Bingo, we have the answer for you! Mark your calendars for the Northeast Deanery Senior Ministry BINGO Mixer on Friday, August 6, 2010. The mixer will take place at Holy Name of Jesus (10235 Ashbrook, St. Louis) with doors and the concession stand opening at 4 p.m. BINGO will begin at 4:30 p.m. with a new round to begin every 30 minutes. Between the twenty-minute rounds, press your luck in both a 50/50 and silent raffle, enjoy classic concession refreshments, and participate in fun short games to get to know your fellow parishioners from North County. Come for a game or stay for the day! Game cards are 50 cents per game. BINGO will last until 7 p.m. with raffle results afterward.
